I later found out that the school's reason for changing the name is because of various complaints from parents of students because their religious beliefs were against Halloween. I just think it is funny that Christian fundamentalists and right-wing wackos will ardently defend Christian prayer and Christmas celebrations within the public school system, but will just as whole-heartedly try to destroy the fun that children have in the name of Halloween or Harry Potter or any other such thing that they don't like.
